Training Programs...
Our training programs are individually tailored to accommodate our clients
(dog's and handler's) needs and are structured to help our clients achieve a
relationship that would allow them to attain American Kennel Club Canine Good
Citizen Certification, if they so desire.
We offer the following training programs:
Group Classes
All of our group classes are
taught in Alpharetta at the Alpharetta Animal Hospital (see
directions)
on Sunday afternoons and evenings to help our clients avoid weekday
rush-hour traffic and to accommodate their busy weekend schedules.
No classes are being offered at this time.

Graduation
Beginner Obedience and Socialization

This program consists of six (6)
1-hour and 15-minute sessions held once per week. Your dog will learn
motivational attention, the motivational come, walking on-leash without pulling,
sit, social skills with other dogs, to not jump up, and how to have fun. Your
dog must have complete puppy vaccinations, or if older than 6 months, be
current on vaccinations.

Learning motivational attention. Intermediate Obedience -
This program consists of six (6)
1-hour and 15-minute sessions held once per week. In the Intermediate Obedience
program, you and your dog will build on the foundation training learned in the
Beginner Obedience and Socialization program and learn the down, sit-stay,
down-stay, come on command with distractions, greeting strangers in a controlled
manner, and how to have fun. Solutions to behavior problems, such as jumping up,
chewing, barking, and digging will be discussed in class. Your dog must be
current on vaccinations to enter this program.

This program consists of six (6)
1-hour and 15-minute sessions held once per week. In the Advanced Obedience
program, you and your dog will build on the training learned in the Intermediate
Obedience program and learn come when called, sit-stay and down-stay, all with
real-life distractions and removal of the leash. Your dog must be current on
vaccinations to enter this program.

Advanced Obedience sessions is $120. Special training equipment may be required
and would be an additional charge.

Private Lessons
Private lessons are for clients
who need the assistance of a trainer/behaviorist to solve a problem or who want
one-on-one instruction from a trainer. Private lessons can be performed in the
owner’s home or at a Canine Relations facility.
Behavior Modification

This program is for owners who
are having a specific problem with their dog, such as aggression towards humans
or animals, jumping up, digging, barking, chewing, pawing, uncontrollable
urination, etc.

The cost for a Behavior
Modification private lesson is $80. It typically requires one (1) to five (5)
private lessons to remedy the unwanted behavior. Contact the Canine Relations
office to schedule a Behavior Modification private lesson.
Potty Training

This service is for owners who
want to start potty training their puppy correctly or have problems potty
training their puppy or dog. A trainer will evaluate
you and your dog's habits and determine what actions are necessary to get
success.

The cost for a Potty Training
private lesson is $80 and it typically requires one (1) lesson unless there is
another behavior that is contributing to the potty-training problem.

Obedience

This program consists of hourly
private (one-on-one) lessons at your home or a Canine Relations facility. Your
dog will learn motivational attention, to walk on-leash without pulling, sit,
down, sit-stay, down-stay and come on command, all with real-life distractions.

The cost for an Obedience
private lesson is $80. It typically requires three (3) to five (5) private
lessons to obtain an obedient dog. Contact the Canine Relations office to
schedule Obedience private lessons.

We Board and Train Your Dog
This is a program for owners who
would like their dog trained while they are on vacation or business, or simply
do not have the time to participate in obedience classes or private lessons. The
We Board and Train Your Dog program is Canine Relations’ premier service, typically requires 14 to 21 days to complete
and your dog stays in a trainer's home (home environment). Your dog's accomplishments after completing this
program will include walking on-leash without pulling, off-leash come, sit,
sit-stay, down, down-stay, all with real-life distractions, and solution of up
to two behavior problems (e.g., jumping or barking). You will receive a 2-hour
private lesson (turnover) where you are trained to lead, understand, handle, and
maintain your trained dog.
The cost for the We Board and
Train Your Dog program is $65 per day, or $910 for 14 days and $1,365 for 21
days. The duration of the stay depends on the dog’s individual needs and more
duration may be required. Special training equipment may also be required and
would be an additional charge. Contact the

Board and Train Your Dog program and request a Registration Form.
Maintenance Boarding and Training
This service is for dogs that had
obedience training, know the commands sit, down, stay, walking on-leash without
pulling and come when called, but need a refresher to tune things up. A trainer
will take care of your dog while it stays in the trainer's home (home
environment) and will improve your dog's current behavior with refresher
training. Excellent times to take advantage of this service are while you are
away on vacation or business.
The cost for the Maintenance
Boarding and Training program is $45 per day. Contact the Canine
